What are the qualities of Sacred Lights Faculty?

Teachers, guides, and facilitators are in alignment with our values(link to about us page) and will live and continue to develop toward the following as a representative of the Sacred Lights Collective:

Support: We work as a team to uplift and support fellow faculty and students. We direct our attention and effort toward our collective mission to help fellow seekers, rather than personal gain at the expense of others.

Balance: We create an equitable exchange for energy output and financial reward. We do not take advantage of another’s labor.

Contribution: We are inspired to offer our gifts and efforts to make this project a success.

Integrity: We live our spiritual truth and model authenticity with our actions. I take personal responsibility for my reality, and communicate with honesty, compassion, and humility.

Empowerment: We believe that each person’s spiritual authority is his or herself. There is no doctrine or teacher whose spiritual teaching trumps the inner knowing of each individual. We teach in ways that do not infringe on this authority.*

*Overlays, top down, and fear-based approaches, and oppressive language are minimized in favor of emergent, organic, inclusive and internally strengthening approaches.

Respect: We recognize that each person is in a sacred evolutionary process. We trust in their unique process and honor their choices, beliefs, stories, and ways of being. We are thoughtful with our words and actions in consideration of ourselves and others.

Transparency: We are honest and transparent in our intentions and motivations.

Diversity: We honor diversity with empathy, compassion, representation, and acknowledgment. We strive to foster belonging and empowerment.
